56 Fulton Street
New York, NY
This 23-story, 120-unit mixed-use rental project, with ground floor divisible space, sits between Cliff and Gold Street in the financial district of Manhattan.
Construction manager, Bravo Builders LLC, turned to HDK as the best choice for the façade portion of the project. HDK began working intently with architects Goldstein Hill & West, in the design and coordination between the alternating brick piers and stone elements, punched window openings, PTAC units and louvers, slab edge covers, balcony railings, and waterproofing systems.
The façade’s mix of masonry and glass coupled with acute and obtuse angles and niches required 90,000 CMU units, 290,000 blended Ashlar brick, decorative stone bands and stone sills, 30,000 sq.ft. of window wall, 8,500 sq.ft. of punched window openings and 1,200 Lft. of railings.
